Tim Couch inducted to NFF College Football Hall of Fame
LAS VEGAS, NV (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Former Kentucky quarterback Tim Couch is now a member of the his third Hall of Fame.
The kid from Leslie County was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday. He is also a member of the UK Athletics and NFHS National High School Halls of Fame.
During his time in Lexington, Couch was an All-American in 1998 and finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting the same year.
Benefitting from Hal Mumme and Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense, the Hyden native completed 795 passes for 8,435 yards and 74 touchdowns in his career.
Couch’s legendary time at Kentucky ended with seven NCAA, 14 SEC and 26 school records to his name.
After college, Couch was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Browns in 1999. He played for the Browns for five seasons and led them to the playoffs in 2002.
