BREAKING: Three year old girl missing in Madison County found safe

UPDATE: (10/15/18, 5:15 a.m.) – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says 3-year-old Eden Hines has been found alive.

Volunteers with the Red Lick Volunteer Fire Department found the child around 4:30 a.m. Monday in Berea.

They say Hines was sitting quietly, about 30 yards from her home.

She was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital to be checked out but officials say the child appears to be fine.

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police in Madison County are looking for a missing three-year old girl who walked away from her Berea home Sunday afternoon.

Investigators are asking people in the Mallory Springs Road area to check around their homes, outbuildings, sheds and barns for Eden Hines.

They say she walked away from her Mallory Springs Road home around 1:30 p.m.

She was last seen walking toward Red Lick Road, according to KSP.

She was wearing a blue sweatshirt with stars on it, blue jeans and a pair of blue rain boots, according to State Police.

Once news of the disappearance, dozens of volunteers showed up to help search.  State Police organized the volunteers at Red Lick Baptist Church.

Investigators also asked everyone in the Red Lick Road area to check their security cameras and game cameras beginning at 1:15 p.m., to see if there’s any video evidence of the little girl.
