Three winning Powerball tickets sold in Kentucky as jackpot climbs to $875 million
KENTUCKY (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Three winning Powerball tickets totaling $200,000 were sold in Kentucky from Saturday night’s drawing, according to the Kentucky Lottery.
Two of the winning tickets were purchased at retail locations, while one was bought online at kylottery.com. A $50,000 winning ticket was sold at Fast Lane Tobacco on U.S. Highway 119 in South Williamson. Another $50,000 ticket was sold at the Richmond Road Kroger in Lexington. The largest prize, a $100,000 ticket, was purchased online through the Kentucky Lottery website, according to the Kentucky Lottery.
Kentucky Lottery officials said each of the three tickets matched all five white balls: 13, 14, 26, 28 and 44. The Powerball number was 7. The online ticket winner added the Power Play option, which doubled the original $50,000 prize to $100,000 with a 2x multiplier.
The Kentucky Lottery advises retail winners to immediately sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a secure location. Online winners with large prizes must select “claim in person” through their Kentucky Lottery account. All three winners must claim their prizes in person at lottery headquarters, located at 1011 W. Main St. in Louisville. Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.
Because no one won the top jackpot Saturday night, the Powerball jackpot has now rolled to an estimated $875 million, making it the seventh-largest jackpot in Powerball history. The next drawing is scheduled for 11 p.m. EST on Monday, Dec. 8.
Lottery officials also noted that in 2025 alone, the Kentucky Lottery has paid out more than $1.6 billion in prizes. Proceeds from ticket sales have funded scholarships and grants for more than 1 million Kentucky college students, according to the Kentucky Lottery.
