Three suspects charged in November Chinoe Road shooting death

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Three individuals are now facing charges in connection to the deadly shooting of 35-year-old Gregory Williams on Chinoe Road last November.

Lexington police say Williams was found shot on November 30 and later died at a local hospital. Investigators utilized the city’s Real-Time Intelligence Center to identify the suspects involved in the case.

According to police, 22-year-old Yas-ree Collins was arrested in Ohio on December 6 and is charged with complicity to murder. Collins is currently awaiting extradition to Fayette County.

A second suspect, 20-year-old Jeremiah Mitchell, was arrested on January 10 in Michigan and is charged with murder. He is also awaiting extradition.

Police report that the third suspect, 24-year-old Alexis Compton, was arrested yesterday in Lexington. Compton has been charged with complicity to murder and is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
