Three People Indicted For 2014 Murder
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Three people have been indicted for murder and robbery in connection to the shooting death of a Lexington man in October of last year, according to police.
Investigators say 22-year old Charles B. Patton III was already in jail for an unrelated case when he was charged with the murder. Police say 22-year old Caitlyn Conway was arrested and charged with murder. Police say they’re still looking for the third suspect, 22-year old Demarcus Harris, who has murder and robbery warrants out against him.
Investigators say on October 5, 2014, officers were called to a home on Addie Street just before 5:00 a.m., about a burglary in progress. Police say when they arrived, they found 36-year old Darnell Bates shot in the stomach. He was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Police say initial reports indicated two men had forced their way into Bates’ home.
