Three children suffer severe injuries in Clay County wreck

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A two-vehicle crash in Clay County has left three children with life-threatening injuries.

According to the City of Manchester Fire Department, emergency crews were called to a wreck on US 421 South on Monday around 7:14 a.m.

Firefighters say five people were injured, including four children.

Three of the four children suffered severe injuries and needed to be airlifted to the University of Kentucky hospital, according to firefighters.

The conditions of the other two people are unknown.
