Three arrested in Laurel County home invasion & shooting

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says three people have been arrested in connection with a shooting in East Bernstadt.

Investigators say Eddie Eversole and Kaleb McKiddy got into a fight on March 2 at a home on Hazel Patch Road. Deputies say a gun was fired during the altercation. They say the homeowner, Pamela Newcomb, was shot. Detectives say Eversole also suffered a gunshot wound. According to the sheriff’s office, robbery was the motive in the attack.

Investigators say Eversole and McKiddy face several charges, including attempted murder. Deputies say Kyle Wilson is also charged with attempted murder and tampering with evidence. Investigators say he had the gun that was used in the home invasion.
