Three arrested in connection to the death investigation of Amber Spradlin

UPDATE: Information from Kentucky State Police in the following news release:

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (July 30, 2024) – As a result of this investigation, Michael McKinney lll, 24 years old of Martin, KY, was arrested and lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center on the charges of Murder and seven counts of Complicity to Tampering Physical Evidence.

Michael McKinney ll, 56 years old of Martin, KY, was arrested and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center on the charges of seven counts of Complicity to Tampering Physical Evidence.

Josh Mullins, 23 years old of Martin, KY, was arrested and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center on the charges of seven counts of Complicity to Tampering Physical Evidence.

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Floyd County dentist has been arrested in connection with the murder of Amber Spradlin. Michael McKinney was taken into custody just minutes ago and booked into the Floyd County Jail.

Spradlin was killed in June of 2023, with Kentucky State Police suspecting foul play. Her death occurred at a home on Arkansas Creek in Martin.
