Third down defense disaster

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Solid Blue fans thought the defense under Mark Stoops would be stout…and at times, it has been.

First and second down against Tennessee went really well…then third down showed up and things went south.

Whether it was third and short or third and medium or even third and long, the Vols somehow managed to convert and move the chains or score.

UT was 8-of-15 on third down conversions…2-of-2 on fourth down.

Stoops says he’s not concerned with the defense or effort.
