Third Adair County student killed in crash

ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Adair County School District is mourning the loss of another student following a tragic crash involving a suspected drunk driver.

In a letter posted to Facebook, Superintendent Dr. Pamela Stephens confirmed that sixth grader David King, a student at Adair County Middle School, died recently after the crash.

King is the third Adair County student to die in a DUI-related collision this year.

Grief counselors and support staff will be available at the middle school to help students and staff cope in the days ahead.

The district is asking the community to keep David’s family, friends, and classmates in their thoughts during this difficult time.
