The Underdogs

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The UK women’s basketball team has settled into a groove now…erasing the turmoil of last spring…and focusing on the task ahead.

Makayla Epps says she feels like the underdog now at Kentucky.

It’s different not being expected to be great, but it’s far from a rebuilding year if you ask head coach Matthew Mitchell.

Mitchell does not feel his team needs to tack up bulletin board material to be successful, but he isn’t totally opposed to it being used if that’s what will rally the team together either.  And he’ll leave that up to Epps to determine since she has “the pulse” on the team according to Mitchell.
