The Lee and Hayley Show welcomes fifth new market
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – “The Lee and Hayley Show” continues to gain momentum and grow its footprint with the announcement of their show being added to the programming schedule of NBC affiliate WMGT in Macon, Georgia.
Beginning this summer, ‘Lee and Hayley’ will air weekdays on WMGT with reruns playing on its sister station MyNet/Bounce.
The show, which stars nationally touring comedian and SiriusXM regular Lee Cruse and the Emmy Award winning Hayley Harmon, launched ‘Lee and Hayley’ on WTVQ ABC36 in Lexington, Kentucky in February of 2020.
Since then, it has expanded its audiences to include WBKO (FOX Bowling Green, Kentcuky), WCBI-CW4 (The CW Columbus-Starkville-Tupelo, Mississippi), WXXV (Biloxi-Gulfport, Mississippi), WWAY (The CW), and now WMGT.
“We were so excited to launch last February, then less than a month later, the pandemic hit which we thought might spell the end before we really got started,” said Cruse. “Thanks to our amazing fanbase and our extraordinarily talented team, the exact opposite happened. This experience has been humbling and we are blessed beyond words.”
From the very first show, Cruse and Harmon have delivered on viewer satisfaction with current event features, comic sketches, human-interest stories, and their weekly Charity Spotlight segment. Fan favorites include “Driving Me Crazy,” “Crazy Arms,” and daily antics with their staff.
“Our plan from the beginning was, and remains, giving our audience one hour a day where they can disconnect, be entertained, and hopefully enjoy a few laughs,” Harmon remarked. “Our fans are second to none and we love and adore them all. Our success is their success as well and we are eternally grateful.”
WMGT is part of the Macon market serving Macon and Warner Robins, Ga. WMGT is owned by Morris Multimedia.
WMGT general manager Todd Buccelli is excited to be adding Cruse and Harmon to his roster. “We’re delighted to be welcoming Lee and Hayley into the WMGT family,” he said. “Their immense talent and broad-based appeal, with fans and advertisers alike, will certainly be attractive in this market. Their professionalism, effortless delivery, and chemistry is really something special.”
