Texas Roadhouse raises money for fallen KSP trooper’s family
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — If you had dinner at a Texas Roadhouse on Wednesday, you had more than just a good meal – you helped the family of a fallen trooper.
Texas Roadhouses across Kentucky donated 10% of all sales Wednesday to the family of Joseph Cameron Ponder.
Trooper Ponder was shot to death during a traffic stop in Lyon County on September 13th.
“So far tonight, we’ve had 180 people come in and support this effort,” says Bruce Stebbins, owner of Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road. “We have a great community here and it shows by people coming out to support the local state troopers.”
Stebbins says the chain may try this fundraising effort again in the future.
