Teens Believed To Be Behind Home Invasion

Police believe a couple of teens were behind a robbery at a Lexington home Monday morning.

According to police, the victims heard a knock at the door of their home on Sherard Circle at 12:54 a.m.

Dacoma Walker, her son, his girlfriend and their child were home at the time.

Walker said someone knocked on their door and said they were James.

She opened the door and it was no one she knew.

Two men with four guns forced their way into the home according to Walker.

The victims told police the suspects were dressed all in black and had handguns.

Walker said the suspects pointed the guns and told the adults to be quiet.  They asked her where the money was, and she said they didn’t have any.

Walker said one of the suspects went upstairs and woke up her son and grandson.

"My son thought he was dreaming. He thought it was a joke. He asked them, y’all playin’ right?," said Walker.

But, they were not.  Walker said they stole a cell phone and her jewelry box.

Police said the victims were locked in a bathroom before they left.

Neighbors overheard the yelling and said police were there quickly.

No one was hurt.

Police said they are still searching for the suspects, who are believed to be between 17 and 19 years old.
