Teenage suspect identified in Lexington shooting that killed 19-year-old

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A 19-year-old man has been shot and killed in Lexington.

The coroner says Sean Howard died of a gunshot wound at St. Joseph Hospital East.

Police say they found out around 12:45 a.m. he had arrived there by private car.

Officers say so far they have learned he was shot while sitting in a car in the parking lot of Mist Lake Plaza on Richmond Road and South Locust Hill Drive.

According to police, officers have identified a 17-year-old man as a suspect in the shooting.

Officers cannot release his name since he is a teen, but they say they think the shooting stemmed from a fight between the two.
