Teen goes to jail over $10 cab fare
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Corbin teenager is in a lot of trouble over a $10 cab ride.
Deputies say 19-year old Jason S. Lay took a taxi home shortly after 1:00 a.m. Saturday, but refused to pay the cab driver.
Investigators say when they arrived at Lay’s apartment, he tried to escape out a side window, but eventually ran out the front door.
Deputies say after a brief struggle, Lay was taken into custody.
Investigators say the cab driver was paid the money owed, and Lay went to jail on a number of charges, including a charge of unlawful transaction with a minor out of Knox County.
Lay was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
