“Tealgate” Held To Raise Awareness Of Ovarian Cancer
A special event at the UK Cancer Center raised awareness of ovarian cancer before the UK football game Saturday.
"Tealgate" as it was called, offered cancer screenings and celebrated survivors. It was open in the public, supporters wore the color teal in support of those survivors.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Ovarian is the fifth deadliest cancer for American women.
More than 43,000 women participate in the UK Ovarian Screening Program.
