SUV takes a nosedive into frozen pond

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – According to the Georgetown Fire Department, an SUV ended driving straight into a frozen pond on Tuesday morning.

Officials say the incident occurred on Belevedere Drive around 7:40, and the two riders of the vehicle were able to get out safely before the Fire Department arrived.

There were no injuries, and Fire Officials say they do not know how or why the vehicle ended up in the pond. A towing company got the SUV out of the water without much trouble.
