SUV Fire Threatens Homes
An vehicle fire threatened two homes in Lexington.
Firefighters said an SUV parked next to a home and a garage on Eastway Drive caught fire just before 2 a.m. Friday.
The family living in the home got out and went to their next door neighbors to tell them about the fire and to make sure they got out.
The fire destroyed the SUV and melted siding on one home, bent the siding on the other and damaged part of the garage.
No one was injured.
Firefighters said they aren’t sure what caused the SUV to catch on fire.
