‘Suspicious device’ found at home where body was discovered

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators say a body and a suspicious device were found at a Whitley County home.

Kentucky State Police say a 19-year-old man was found dead at the home on Peggy Lane near Corbin on Saturday.

State Police say the man died from a gunshot wound.

Police say the wound appears to be self-inflicted but are still awaiting autopsy results to determine how he died.

While at the home investigating the death, authorities discovered a suspicious device.

The device was removed from the home and detonated, according to police.
