Suspended Paris police officers file lawsuit
PARIS, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Bourbon County Circuit Court Clerk says that a lawsuit has been filed by five suspended Paris police officers against the Paris Police Chief, the commissioners and the mayor.
According to the Clerk, the suit was filed Thursday, but would not release any other details.
Lt. Jon Luke Humphries, Lt. Robert Puckett, and officers James Primm, Kevin Anderson and Abdullah Bholat were suspended without pay following a hearing back in February that accused them of conduct unbecoming an officer, failure to conform to rules and regulations, insubordination, and inefficiency, among other charges.
Police Chief Rob Williams claimed the officers were spending too much time in dispatch, and not enough time on patrol.
Williams claims the officers were told several times to limit their time in dispatch.
