Suspect wanted in Walmart thefts totaling nearly $4,000

CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office released security camera photos of a man who they say is accused of stealing nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise from a Walmart near Corbin on two separate occasions in early May.

Investigators say both reported thefts happened late at night on May 1 and May 6, 2015.  Deputies say in both incidents, the man left with a buggy full of stolen items, that included routers, batteries, chargers, electronic tools and equipment and Duck pants.

Investigators say the man stole more than $1,446 worth of merchandise in the first crime and more than $2,367 in the second reported incident.  Deputies say a dark colored car, possibly a Chrysler 300, can be seen in the store’s parking lot during both thefts.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000.
