Suspect shot to death during traffic stop in Todd County
ELKTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting following a traffic stop that left a man dead in Todd County.
Investigators say Tuesday afternoon, a Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy and an Elkton Police officer pulled over the driver of a pickup truck on East Main Street that the Elkton officer had encountered earlier in the day.
KSP says during the traffic stop the driver of the pickup, who was alone in the truck, pulled out a gun and gunfire was exchanged.
The pickup truck driver was shot and killed, according to investigators. His name wasn’t immediately released.
No law enforcement officers were injured, according to KSP.
