Suspect Leads Trooper on Chase

Police say Shaun Dirkach, 37, of Jacksonville, NC, failed to pull over after a Trooper clocked him going 100 MPH northbound on I-75.

The suspect exited, then re-entered the interstate at Madison County.

Police were able to use spike strips to slow the vehicle down.

Eventually the suspects car hit a barrier wall and stopped.

Dirkach was charged with Speeding, Reckless Driving, Wanton Endangerment, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, and Fleeing Police.
