Suspect in custody after barricade situation near Henry Clay High School in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A person is in custody following a barricade situation Sunday evening on Fontaine Road, near Henry Clay High School, according to Lexington police.

Officers say the incident began around 5:15 p.m. as a disorder call and escalated into a barricade situation. The scene was resolved just before 7:30 p.m. when the suspect was safely taken into custody.

Police say the individual was later transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
