Suspect identified in Lexington stabbing on Greentree Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Police have identified the suspect arrested in connection with a stabbing Monday afternoon in Lexington.

According to officers, 20-year-old William Sanchez was taken into custody on assault charges following the incident on Greentree Road.

The victim was taken to a hospital with what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.

Court records show Sanchez is scheduled for an arraignment Tuesday at 1 p.m.
