Suspect in deadly Winchester apartment fire gets decade in prison

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to a report from The Winchester Sun newspaper, Jackie Hisle Jr., the man who caused a fire in a 10-unit apartment in Winchester, killing three people will spend 10 years in prison.

The papers says the sentencing happened Thursday in Clark Circuit Court while Hisle sat silently. Police say Hisle was drunk and smoking while using oxygen in his first-floor apartment on March 11 when the fire started.

Three people were killed, including Hisle’s son, Donald. Tina Reynolds and Dixie Everman were the other two.

According to the paper, Hisle’s attorney, Cole Maier says Hisle is “profoundly sorry for everything that occurred.”
