Suspect arrested in barricade situation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A wanted suspect is in custody after barricading themselves inside a Lexington apartment for nearly two hours over the weekend, according to police.

Officers say they arrived on Lansill Road around 4:45 p.m. to arrest the individual, who was wanted on multiple charges. When police made contact, the suspect reportedly refused to come out and barricaded inside an apartment unit.

After roughly two hours, the suspect surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without incident. The person’s name has not been released.
