Suspect arrested after overnight shooting in Lexington
UPDATE:
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – One person is in custody following a shooting that happened overnight on Boxwood Drive.
According to Lexington Police, officers were called to the 1100 block of Boxwood Drive around 3:05 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, for a report of a shooting with a victim.
When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect, 39-year-old Leonard Slaughter, was arrested at the scene. He is charged with two counts of first-degree assault and one count of first-degree wanton endangerment.

Investigators say the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested on assault charges.
