Suspect arrested after barricade standoff at Winchester home
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A suspect is in custody after a standoff at a home in Winchester.
According to police, the situation began just before 8 p.m. Sunday at a residence on Orchid Court.
Investigators say the suspect refused to leave the home and barricaded himself inside after Clark County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic violence call.
Authorities say the suspect allegedly threatened to harm anyone who attempted to enter the house.
Members of the county’s Joint Special Response Team were later deployed and entered the home, taking the man into custody.
No additional details about the suspect or possible charges have been released.
