Suspect and officer hospitalized after crash during chase in Bell County

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A police chase in Middlesboro ended with a crash that sent both a suspect and an officer to the hospital.

According to Kentucky State Police, the incident happened Wednesday near South 35th Street and Exeter Avenue. Investigators say officers attempted to approach Jason Bullins, who was wanted on active parole and burglary warrants. Bullins allegedly left the scene in a vehicle, leading officers on a pursuit.

During the chase, Bullins’ vehicle collided with an officer’s vehicle. Both were taken to a Middlesboro hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
