Supporters walk and run for 23rd year to benefit AIDS organization

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Hundreds were out at Coldstream Park this afternoon for a familiar cause. They hoped to support an organization which supports the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Runners and walkers spoke about why it’s so important to be involved in the annual event which is put on by AIDS Volunteers, Inc. or AVOL.

The organization is dedicated to serving those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. AVOL provides prevention education, free HIV testing and outreach to central and eastern Kentucky.
