‘Super Sunday’ this weekend at Douglass Park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – What began in the 1960’s on a dirt basketball court in Lexington, is now played on asphalt with scoreboards in front of huge crowds in Douglass Park. The annual ‘Super Sunday’ is this Sunday, July 16, 2017.

The event offers the top players in summer leagues to showcase their talents.

The day begins at 3:00 p.m. with the Sun Bowl league, followed by the Junior and Men’s Dirt Bowl leagues.

In addition to great basketball, there will be musical entertainment and food vendors at the park. The event is free and open to the public.
