Students uninjured after school bus accident
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – 15 students and two adults were in a Clark Co. Schools bus when it crashed into a barrier wall on Monday.
According to the Clark Co. Sheriff, the bus was going outbound on Colby Road in Winchester as a Chevy blazer was headed inbound. The Sheriff says when the Blazer came over a hill the driver spotted a mail truck in the road and swerved to avoid hitting it. The bus driver then swerved to avoid the Blazer and hit the wall, according to the Sheriff.
The driver of the blazer was taken to the hospital. Still no word on the extent of the driver’s injuries. Colby Road is completely blocked, and is expected to be closed until around 5:30 p.m.
The Sheriff says no one on the bus was injured in the accident.
