Students safe after morning school bus accident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette Co. School District says a band-aid was all the first aid needed after a school bus got into an accident this morning.

The district says a school bus on the way to Edith J. hayes Middle School with eight students on board was stopped on Spears Road near Jacks Creek Pike when it was hit by a truck.  The truck swerved over the middle lane and hit the bus head on.

No injuries were reported, though one student received a band-aid for a scratch sustained in the accident.  Another bus was brought in and the students were taken to school.

All families were notified.
