Students to host town hall on gun violence

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Students are hoping to take action on gun violence by hosting a town hall Wednesday.

Among the special guest who have accepted invitations are state Senator Reggie Thomas, Congresswomen Kelly Flood and Ruth Ann Palumbo as well as congressional candidate Chuck Eddy.

“We hope to use this event in order to empower, uplift, and educate our fellow students and community members while using our voices to make our needs more apparent to our lawmakers,” said organizers of the event.

The town hall starts at 6 pm at the Lyric Theatre.
