Stranded driver in Madison County
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities in Madison County responded after driver got stuck in high water on Tuesday. Deputies say a woman was inside of her car with water around her on Red House Road when she called 911 panicked.
Deputies say by the time they and the Madison County Rescue Squad were able to respond, she had already walked out of her car and got to dry land. They say she was not harmed and they took her home.
Her car remains on Red House Road at least through the noon hour on Monday, and authorities say they don’t know when they will be able to move it.
The road remained closed, because of the high water and stranded car.
Other Madison County roads that remain closed are the following: Creek at Kit Carson, Crooksville, Speedwell, Union City, Waco loop at School, Highway 52 at Madison/Estill County line and Highway 1295.
