Store Owner Punched During Robbery

Richmond Police responded to an assault call at the Northgate Shell in Richmond, and say the owner was punched during a robbery.

Officers say the owner told them he tried to stop two individuals, a man and a woman, who were stealing candy and Honey Buns from his store.

The owner said as he was trying to stop them, the woman punched the owner and threatened the owner’s life and the life of his family.

The owner suffered a cut and bruising on his nose, according to investigators.

Police found the two suspects soon afterwards, and arrested Jenny D. Rogg, 26, of Florence along with Paul H. Mays, 35, of Richmond.
