Stolen items returned to some theft victims
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some stolen items in the theft case were returned to their rightful owners, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say a lawnmower, kayaks and a utility trailer were returned to their owners.
Deputies say Timothy Fields and Ronnie Davis, both of East Bernstadt, were charged with Receiving Stolen Property and other property-related offenses in the case.
Investigators say two pickup trucks were recovered. They say one of the truck’s was completely dismantled and the other partially dismantled. Deputies say trailers, four-wheelers and kayaks were also recovered in the case and that all of the items were suspected to be stolen.
Investigators say people started contacting the sheriff’s office about the stolen items after seeing and hearing local news reports as well as posting’s on the sheriff’s Facebook page.
The case is still under investigation.
