State Transportation Department Awarded Funds
A central Kentucky town will be finishing a highway construction project thanks to some money from the Federal Government.
Somerset is one of a handful of areas in the state that has been awarded $17.5 million from the Transportation Department.
Almost $4 million of this will be used for the I-66 Northern Bypass.
Other money will go to landscaping downtown Louisville, improving waterfronts in Owensboro and Paducah, and building a business and industrial site near Bowling Green.
