State Police looking for female prison escapee

FREDONIA, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a female inmate escaped from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex in Lyon County on Wednesday. Investigators say 40-year old Lostia Shreves of Cecilia, was last seen in the prison at 6:00 p.m. She was wearing a grey sweatshirt, khaki pants, white t-shirt, a fisherman style hat and black boots. Investigators say a grey sweatshirt and other inmate clothing were found near the prison grounds, leading them to believe she may have changed clothes.

State Police say Shreves possibly left in a Maroon 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Kentucky License plate 8472CG that was reported stolen from a residence near the prison shortly after Shreves turned-up missing.

Shreves is approximately 5’7,” 150 lbs., with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Investigators say Shreves was serving time for a Probation Violation for Felony Offense. The charges that led to the probation violation were Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Unlawful Distribution of Meth Precursors 1st Offense and Burglary 3rd Degree, according to KSP.
