State police looking for escaped inmate from Campbell Co.

NEWPORT, Ky. (WTVQ) —State police are looking for a man who they say walked away from his work assignment at the Campbell County Detention Center.

KSP says 31-year-old David Leroy Barney was last seen near the 100 block of Oak Street in Silver Grove around 7:40 Friday morning.

Barney is described as 6’0″, 180 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. He also has numerous tattoos on both forearms, across his waist and on both legs.
