State Police investigating Barbourville police involved shooting

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police are investigating a high speed chase that ended in a police-involved shooting.

KSP say 29-year-old Brandon Moses from Bledsoe is in critical condition at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Troopers say Moses stopped in a florist’s parking lot near a Rite-Aid, and grabbed a bystander then later let him go and started walking towards officers with his hands behind his back.

According to troopers, an officer shot him after he reportedly repeatedly would not respond when asked to show his hands. Instead, he reportedly threatened to kill the officers.
