‘State of Schools’ Breakfast highlights future plans
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The ‘State of Schools’ Leadership Breakfast took place today in Lexington, where Fayette County Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Demetrus Liggins, outlined the district’s future plans and celebrated students as they prepare to head back to school.
The event, held at the Central Bank Center on West Vine Street, began at 8 a.m. and featured discussions on the district’s goals and initiatives. Dr. Liggins highlighted the importance of innovation and community support in shaping the educational landscape for students.
The first day of class for three schools in the district was on Tuesday, while most of the rest of the schools will welcome students back on August 14th.
