State lists flooded state roads in northeast KY

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ)- The state put out an updated list this afternoon of of state roads in northeast Kentucky that were affected by high water.

It says that as of 5:00 p.m., several counties were coping with flooding and heavy runoff.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the following state highways in northeast Kentucky had water over roadways or in travel lanes:

•Boyd County – KY 854 at Rush, KY 5 at various locations

•Carter County – KY 1496 at KY 1 at Willard, KY 1 from 0 to 7 mile markers, KY 986 at Olive Hill, KY 773 at Hitchins, KY 1122 from 0-1 mile marker, KY 1910 from 1-2 mile marker, KY 955 and KY 1654

•Greenup County – KY 1 at KY 784 (Lost Creek Road) water is in one lane and will soon have road completely covered, KY 2 from 6-7 mile marker soon will be under water, KY 503 from 1-2 mile marker is covered at Culp Creek Road intersection, KY 784 Lost Creek covered from 9-11 mile marker, and KY 784 Three Prong Road from 11-12 mile marker water is starting to cover one lane

•Rowan County – Most high water has receded, but embankment slips have reduced Clay Lick Road (KY 3308) to one lane in two locations and a slide has been reported along KY 801 South near Cave Run Lake; use caution

•Bath County – High water remains possible along KY 36 near the Meniffee County line and in the Salt Lick area
