State Fair allowed to return with coronavirus modifications

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky State Fair in Louisville gets to return this summer with restrictions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 for people at the fair.

Governor Andy Beshear announced today his administration has approved a proposal to allow the fair to take place in August.

The governor says, however, the fair will not be able to use the portion of the expo center that currently holds the state field hospital.

The field hospital is still on standby in case of a spike and overflow of coronavirus cases.
