State Emergency Crews Take Part In Earthquake Preparedness Drills

State emergency management crews and 40 other groups are in Frankfort this week for drills and exercises in earthquake preparedness.

Thirty-four of Kentucky’s 120-counties have had a documented earthquake, according to officials.

Among the exercises, medical treatment, mass care, evacuations and response time.

Kentucky joined seven other states for this week’s drills.
