State colleges to invest $2.7 million for career program
VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) says it is making an investment of $2.7 million over three years to work with businesses on a new apprenticeship program.
The KCTCS says it wants to improve student’s job readiness by working with employers to find what kind of skills they are looking for in potential employees.
The college also says that by next year, each of the 16 schools involved in its system will have a person dedicated to leading the programs in their communities.
