State Board of Education member resigns

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Cody Pauley Johnson of Pikeville resigned from the Kentucky Board of Education on Aug. 10, the board said in a statement.

Johnson represented the 7th Supreme Court District. Her term was set to expire on April 14, 2024.

The statement did not give a reason for a resignation.

The governor’s office has been notified of her resignation and will name a replacement to fill the remainder of her term.
