State adding 4th Kentucky Trail Town
OLIVE HILL, Ky. (AP) — An eastern Kentucky town is being designated a Kentucky Trail Town, a boost to its tourism and marketing efforts.
First lady Jane Beshear will be joined by tourism officials, lawmakers and local dignitaries at the announcement Monday in Olive Hill in Carter County.
The city’s Trail Town website says it’s the fourth to be so designated. It is the home of musician Tom T. Hall and offers nearby Carter Caves State Resort Park, access to paddling, fishing, hiking and horseback riding.
Other Kentucky Trail Towns are Dawson Springs, Livingston and Morehead.
